Write Articles to Get Free Traffic for Your Website
 

We all know that Ezine ads will produce traffic for you. Some ads, like Solo ads, are better at that than regular 5-line classifieds. But what if you could get a Solo ad for FREE, wouldn't you go for that, in a second?

Well, this suggestion will do almost the same thing. What you do is to write an article of interest, hopefully on a subject that you know or are familiar with. Then you add what is known as a "Resource Box" at the bottom of the article. This is where you put your name as the author of the article and your website address with a short reason why someone would visit your site.

Now submit this to a list of E-zine or Newsletter publishers, who are always looking for new content for their Ezines or Newsletters. Eventually they will use yours and when they do you will get that FREE advertising. So get your website ready to get traffic.

It's important to think this through a little bit. Rethink what is in the article. What interest have you developed in the reader? What have you told them that they should do? What information have you told them that the need? Well, whatever that was, you want them to think "Well, the guy or gal who wrote this article should have some interesting stuff on their website, so I am going to click on this link and go there!"

Now you must decide where you want them to land. You could pick a page other than your Home Page if that will get him or her to what they are looking for. You could even set up a redirect page, so that it appears from the link in the article to go to your site but they are automatically redirected to an affiliate site, for instance.

I am just pointing out the fact that a little planning is in order. You might just want them to sign up for your free Newsletter. This is a good choice, since once they are on that list, you can make any other offer. But, if you think that the person is more interested in getting whatever you are "selling" in the article, you might feel that it's better to send them directly to the Sales Page or Signup Page or where ever they need to go to get it. You must decide this, but do it now and set up the article link and your website appropriately.
